Found a charge off on my credit report from Allied Interstate LLC. Sent a certified letter on - - and it was signed for on - -. In this letter, I I formally disputed this account and I am requesting validation, made pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Please note that I requested " validation '' ; that is competent evidence bearing my signature, showing that I have ( or ever had ) some contractual obligation to pay them. I receieved no response at all, nor did they mark the account disputed per the latest credit report from experian. I sent a follow up letter even though they had already broken the law on - - and it was signed for on - - with still no response
