Sterling Infosystems -, OH - The above company conducted a background check for a potential employer. They reported a forfeiture u violation as a felony to the company. They did not reach out to me prior to publishing these results. An example of a forfeiture u is a speeding ticket so there is a huge difference between these violations and felony. When I called in to dispute I found out they did not have a phone number on file, a correct address, or an email. I received no opportunity to dispute prior and they published the results to the company before contacting me or providing the report. They have acknowledged their mistake and said they will file an amended report. However the damage is already done and it is too awkward a situation for me to step into with the company.


I still have not received a copy of the report either the initial one or the amended via email or in the mail. Please let me know if you need further information for the complaint to be filed. - -
