I have had this credit card from - - - for more than 10 years and had gone over the limit but the credit card company was approving the transactions. I have not been using the card for over 3 months but been paying my monthly payments that are due. Last month they have been bought over by Elan Financial Services under Fidelity and now demanding that I pay the over limit amount of $1000.00. I have been paying my payments monthly and have never been late. I have requested them to increase the limit but they refused to do that and demanding me to pay $1000.00 by - -, 2016. I asked them why did they let the transactions go through if I was over my limit and their response is it was a benefit offered from - and now bought they have been bought over by another payment processor Elan and that is why the rules changed. This is fraud just because a company is bought over by another company you do n't harass clients. The president should do something to protect the public. There are several complaints about Elan Financial Services on -. I would appreciate if could handle this otherwise they will put late fees and add other additional fees for the $1000.00. I am willing to pay my monthly payment but not $1000.00 of the overlimit amount. Unable to upload old Statements since they have been bought over its a new website login and old statements are not available there where I can prove that I do n't use their card but just paying it off. I have also lodged a complaint with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency US Dept of Treasury, The Presidents Office Board of Directors of Elan Financial Services, Federal Reserve Consumer Help.
