I believe I was discriminated against while applying for a loan through Chase bank and they either lost or destroyed the loan documents in the process. Chase has elected to end my " Private Client '' relationship closing accounts that have been in my family for three generations. Chase 's decision to close multiple checking, savings, money market accounts, investment accounts, a Roth IRA, a Traditional IRA and any account with my name on it, including my adult children 's accounts, resulted in placing a " restriction '' barring access to all the funds, - -, 2016, without notice to me. As of today, - -, 2016, 42 days after the accounts have been closed, I still do n't have the money that was in them.

Chase made a decision, which I did not think they could make without my " voluntary '' consent, to also close all investment accounts. This is suspicious because for many months I 've made numerous requests to correct errors they made when establishing the accounts and alerted them of incomplete transfers of securities into those accounts, which were intentionally ignored. I have contacted the Chase Executive Office asking for their record of documents and I have not received anything related to the closing of the accounts and the closing of the safe deposit box. They only say, " Chase has the right to end the relationship without cause or reason. '' Further, I have not received any of the funds from the closed accounts or been given access to the contents of the safe deposit box. It is shocking to me that institutionally a bank has the power to do such damage to individuals and can insulate themselves from recourse because as I have been told, until I " lawyer up '', they are n't going to pay attention to me. A retired bankruptcy attorney and friend told me about this agency created by - - and the incredible work that has been done. Upon hearing my story over the weekend, he suggested contacting you.
