Recently, I received notice from the state of NJ that my homestead rebate was sent directly to my mortgage service provider, Wells Fargo. I called Wells Fargo several times and they finally told me that I had to provide proof that the state of NJ sent them the money. It was never applied to my taxes ( as my taxes are included in the mortgage payment ). Please help I do n't know how I can prove they received the homestead rebate in the amount of $260.00.
