My previous apartment complex used falsed dates in an attempt to collect money that i did not owe. The complex filled out a statement with the managers signature and date saying i did not owe them anything and then filed for collection 7 months later. I knew nothing about a debt until i received a letter in the mail in - of this year. I was told by the collection agency that if i faxed over the paper from the apartment manger saying that i did not owe when we moved out then they would use that to dispute the said debt. After doing what was asked, they repeatedly said they didnt recieve it and were very rude and said that if i did not pay they would mark it as refusal to pay. When i went to talk to the apartment manager at the complex that says we owe for weeks she gave me different responses and even told me to come back for pictures of proof which needless to she eventually could not find. I still have the move out statement that was submitted to the agency with dates like - - which doesnt even exist. And i also have the letter saying i did not owe. This debt is false.
