U.S. Bancorp Credit Card Complaint

U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,

Advertising and marketing Arkansas

I am a USBank Depositor ( DDA ) and hold a USBank issued credit card. I was in their branch located at - -, - -, AR to make a DDA deposit when I was advised that I had been pre-approved for a balance transfer option with 12 months of 0 % interest with no fee. All they needed was my annual income. I was advised ( TWICE ) the credit inquiry was a soft pull and I assumed this to be true considering I have a USBank credit card. After spending time in their office, providing my income and employment information, the pre-approval was declined and I subsequently have a hard pull inquiry on my -. The teller and/or " personal banker '' had little or no knowledge about their credit card products or how they worked. It appeared they were simply trying to get me to apply. I would not have applied unless I was truly approved. In fact, I asked about the credit limit and was advised that this could not be confirmed without a softpull! The softpull was truly a hard pull and a decline due to my credit card usage. ( I knew I had balances, assumed USBank did, too and this is exactly the reason I was interested in the balance transfer! ). USBank has caused my credit score to DECREASE due to their fraudulent sales and marketing.
