Received a check for $1200.00 from Republic Finance in -, KY that, if signed and cashed, would enter me into a loan agreement with Republic at an APR of 41.03 %. The letter reads " let us help you with school expenses, '' but - paragraphs later is advertised as " a pre-approved loan just in time for summer fun! '' The letter is signed from - -, Manager at Republic Finance at - - - in -, KY. I do n't know if this violates any specific consumer finance regulations - but it sure should!
