On - -, 2015 we decided to purchase new appliances from Lowe 's in - ( - # - ). The total amounted to $5100.00. I offered to pay for these items with my existing - - to earn miles on - -, this is what I usually do for any large expenditure. However, I was advised to apply for a Lowe 's credit card to receive an additional 5 % discount off our purchase. That additional discount would amount to approximately $250.00. I was approved for the Lowe 's credit card at the Customer Service counter then proceeded in finalizing the transaction. Since the transaction was a bit complicated, it was n't until I got home and later reviewed our receipts that I noticed we did not receive the 5 % discount for using the Lowe 's credit card. I have emailed Lowe 's customer service, spoke to the Assistant Manager, requested assistance from upper management but to no avail. Now they do n't return phone calls and my only communication is with Lowe 's Customer Service, located on the mainland. I would have never applied for a credit card that charges 24 % + interest if I were n't able to receive a - % discount. I have other credit cards I prefer to use. I believe we were misled and ill advised. In the promotional material from Lowe 's at the store and in the mailings I have received from Lowe 's when I received their credit card it states " - % off every day. ''
