Army and Air Force Exchange Service Credit Card Complaint

Forbearance / Workout plans

Army and Air Force Exchange Service Credit card department,

Forbearance / Workout plans Virginia

had a credit card with the navy exchange that i got behind on payments towards the end of last year. I called them at the end of - 2015 to start making payments on my debt because I was in a better financial position. I was told that a letter had been sent out stating I need to make payments or they would default on my acct I start making payments - -. I have called in every month after that to make my payment of $210.00 dollars with - of their representatives. I called them around - - to make a payment and I was advised that they sent me into default because they sent me a letter in -/-/- of a payment plan that I had to sign and send back within 30 days. I have been calling in every month and not - associate made mention that the letter had not been received. I was given the number to a 3rd party agency that marked up my acct 16 % I was to make payments - and I was being charged up to - a month in fees and interest on an acct I was already making

that it is not there problem if the letter did not reach me because they can not control postal mail being delivered. So regardless if i ever saw the letter or not they would have still defaulted on my acct. I responded saying that if an associate would have said something to me about the letter when I called in I could have given them an address to send me the letter and mail back to them. I was also advised that there associates not telling me about the letter or reading the notes on my acct was not in there control. My issue is that I was making payments to them every month calling them so it is not as if i was n't trying to pay my debt because i have been trying to build my credit back up. I am very offended with how this case was handled, and the tone of voice that i was talked to which was very rude which put me on the defense. These companies do and say whatever they want to people/consumer with no regard to professionalism.
