RE : Loan with Statebridge Company # - The above mentioned loan was in the name of - -, my mother. I, - -, was trying to payoff her bills, because of her - and later her death. I was never on this loan. The beneficiary of this loan was a - - with - children named. I being the - was paying my deceased mother 's debt, which included the above referenced loan. The - mortgage that I was paying was with - -, which I always paid on time. Then, - - sold the loan to - -, again with no problems and always on time. In - 2015, - - sold the loan to Statebridge Company, and here is where it gets crazy. First there was a credit on my account saying that I overpaid. Then in - I sent Statebridge a payment of $1200.00, in which, Statebridge returned the check a month later, but I had already sent out -/-/- 's payment. I called - - numerous times, but NEVER received a response from her. Finally, I contacted Statebridge and spoke to someone else, who informed me that the loan matured and the total amount was due. When I asked for some help to resolve this, Statebridge flat out refused to help me, stating that my name was not on the loan. So then, I was forced to get a loan, in my name, with - - - to pay off my mother 's loan. After I received the payoff letter, - turned around and recorded on the credit bureaus, that - - was in default of - months, on a loan that was in - - ' name. Also, - told us that we could go online to file under loss mitigation, when in fact, there is no such place on their website to file such reports or complaints. Because of Statebridge 's falsely stating that - - is in default, - - - is stating that my loan with them is fraudulent and is now being investigated.
