In - - I began receiving phone calls to my business phone from - - threatening a law suit if I did not settle a past due balance with Fifth Third Bank in the amount of $360.00. This was the first notice I had received of the balance. Fifth Third Bank in 5 years had never tried to contact me concerning the supposed open balance. - also called my wifes business phone threatening her with a law suit. At no time in the phone calls did they ever prompt me that " this was an effort to collect a debt ''. I would like to file complaints against both Fifth Third Bank and - regarding this failure to comply with the Consumer Fair Credit Act.
