Non-federal student loan Can't repay my loan Can't decrease my monthly payments Ohio

I attended - - for a - degree program for -/-/--. I was never advised of a private loan being taken out until collection efforts began. I was able to defer the loan for no more than 12 months and after that I had no choice but to pay them for my credit to remain clear. All other loans were able to be entered into student loan and public service loan forgiveness, except this private loan. I am struggling to pay this loan every month, which I did n't know existed until about a year after graduating, and the loan company is advising that I have already used deferment and have no other options available to me for repayment.
