U.S. Bancorp Credit Card Complaint

Credit determination

U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,

Credit determination California

US Bank sent me the attached letter advising me that " my '' request for a credit line increase could not be approved - but I never applied for a credit line increase. To the contrary, in an - - 2016 letter from me to the bank ( which was received by the bank on -/-/16 certified mail ) I specifically stated that I was NOT applying for a credit line increase and that I DID NOT want my credit pulled ( because it hurts my score ). US Bank 's attached reply indicates that the bank improperly performed a credit review against my wishes and ignored the substance of my - - letter entirely I had written to US Bank - - because I received a letter from them on that day, but dated - -, 2016 the bank reduced my credit line to only $500.00. I was shocked because i have excellent standing and history on my credit card with them which I referenced in my letter together with the inaccuracy of their citation to my credit score. I subscribe to credit monitoring and the score US Bank reported as justification to lower my limit was more than a - point difference. That just was n't plausible. Plus the cited characteristics were inaccurate. I always pay on my account and was not even carrying a balance. But by lowering my available credit US Bank caused me damage because reducing credit does cause my score to drop, which it did - - points. Ironically US Bank is therefore causing a negative impact to the score, which is what they are complaining about in the first place ( and which impacts my standing with other creditors ) This is all very upsetting and hurtful given that I am a responsible account holder. Moreover, after I took the time to write a detailed correspondence US Bank did not even send a meaningful reply. Instead, they delivered the nonsensical communication I have attached. They do n't value honest business. What a nerve!
