- On Saturday -/-/- My husband got a call on his cell phone. A " courier '' called from a private # and told him that an attorney firm has been trying to serve him twice at our current address & a previous address. He told my husband to call ( - ) -, gave him a case # : - and said to ask for - - . Since it was n't a good time, my husband did not call. The courier called another 2 times. I picked up the phone the 3rd time. He asked me if I was his spouse. I said I was his spouse. He said that I was able to call since I was his legal spouse and that the call was extremely urgent. I asked him if he was forcing us to call. He said " No '', but - - was waiting for My husband or his spouse ( me ). I called ( - ) - five days later on -/-/-, gave my case # - and they put me through to - - prior to speaking with - - the receptionist told me he was a collections agent in the


also told me I had - day to pay this amount and since I am - 's spouse and we live in the State of -, I am equally responsible. Now, my husband never had a Bank of America credit card in -/-/- under his name. I, however, had one but the card numbers - gave me did not match at all. I told - the state of - does not make a spouse pay for a credit card that belongs to his or her spouse and we were not married in -/-/-. He yelled at me and told me to Google it. ( It 's just not true, I know that for a fact ). I told him all the information is inaccurate. He got agitated, yelled " I will see you in court '' and hung up. I called back to tell him that if he listened to me he would know that I was awarded a Ch - bankruptcy. He put me on hold for - mins. I called back and told him that I need his fax number and I told him that he was a scammer. He told me to " - '' and hung up. I googled - - attorney in CA. He seems to be the same scammer called from a previous number of - ( that # is now disconnected ), claiming to be from another Company, - - - in -, -. I also googled " ( - ) - ''. There are many complaints about - - attempting to collect old credit card dept with inaccurate information and people fall for it & pay them money.
