My credit card is paid by my Dad from his account at - to my credit card at Wells Fargo. That payment was made on -. It showed the funds out of that account on that day and credited to my credit card. My outstanding balance at that time was $600.00 and I have a credit limit of $1300.00, but my card was declined and the website showed no credit available. I just spent an hour on the phone with Wells Fargo and they say a hold was placed on the payment but they admit they have no idea why and will not release the hold until tomorrow. This is my only source of funds to pay for food and supplies ( I 'm a - student without a job ). If they were able to give me a reason the funds were held, I would have understood, but they admit they do n't know ( I actually have a recording of part of the call ). I just ca n't believe this is legal and I was thinking if they did that to me, they could do that to thousands of customers and have the use of other people 's money for a week with no reason or explanation. Is n't this pretty much like stealing and then returning the stolen goods. That 's still stealing.
