I have 40 years of a perfect credit history. I have leased and financed cars for 25 years and I have never had such a horrible and dishonest experience as recently had with US bank. I obtained a 3 year auto lease from US bank in 2013. Upon turn in of the vehicle I was assessed a $3500.00 excess wear and tear fee. The fee was assessed after some 'independent ' inspector mailed me - grainy black and white photos of a vehicle. I am still not certain the photos were even the vehicle I turned in. - of the major items was that the inspector noted that the tire tread was low. However, the tires were - brand new - with less than - miles on them. The tires were a far more durable and long lasting version than the original tires that came with the vehicle. The 'inspector ' also noted the engine was in 'fair ' condition even though the vehicle was regularly serviced at the dealership and under the program they recommended. The car was 'babied ' and taken care of perfectly. All other inspection items noted were non existent and disputed.
