Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay Louisiana

I have a car loan with consumer portfolio. After falling on hard times due to the loss of my job and my income going down i fell behind on payments. I took my loan out in 2012 i think. They constantly called and harrassed my personal referances giving them info about my loan without my permission and constanly called me at work after being told not to do so. They recently repoed my car for being in default they didnt even try to work with me and refused to lower my monthly payments
