Amex Credit Card Complaint

Payoff process

Amex Credit card department,

Payoff process Indiana

We have a complaint against American Express about deceptive advertising. My son and were issued a - for Business Card from American Express in - and as we own a startup, we needed money. They have this check spending availability feature which allows you to spend a certain undisclosed amount over the limit. We were hesitant at first, and we called American Express in good faith to know exactly how much we can spend over the limit. They told us the website would tell us. We thought, fine, we 'll do that. Big mistake. American Express then pulled both of my accounts with them without any warning. They had us pay a minimum of $600.00 or more every month. Then in -, they began charging us over $900.00 per month. We were unable to meet these high minimums. Now they harass us constantly, threatening us. Their debt collectors within American Express threaten to take our case to an outside collections agency and ruin our credit. We tried to explain to them the situation, yet they 're not happy with less than $3000.00 a month. We now have a hard time keeping our other obligations due to their high demands, causing us to fall behind our other bills, I guess that 's how they plan to ruin my credit. My son handles all the finances with the business cards, and he is even having a hard time paying his cards because of the demands of American Express. We both understand that American Express has been in trouble with the CFPB and other agencies for similar type tactics. Please let us know how we can get them to stop. We even indicated to them we are willing to work with them to get this issue resolved, but they do n't want to listen to us.
