Vehicle lease Managing the loan or lease

Vehicle lease Managing the loan or lease Virginia

I returned my - - - on - -, -, to - - - in - -, VA, upon the maturity of a lease. However, I received a bill in the amount of $970.00 on - -, -. The bill included a $ - lease payment, $350.00 disposition fee, despite the fact that I received a confirmation over the phone on - -, -, that these charges will be waived after my spouse 's lease of a new -. He did end up leasing the vehicle to save on charges. The most disappointing fact was that the bill included $410.00 charge for a windshield chip. I do not recall the chip. When I was dropping of the vehicle, the dealer conducted the inspection and never mentioned the damage. I was told during the phone call that the third party inspection conducted on - -, -, revealed the damage. My suspicion is that something happened to a windshield between drop off date on - - - and - - -.

step during a lease return, so as a consumer, I witness the revealing of a damage. Otherwise, I am feeling that I am being billed for a damage that has been caused by someone else. Moreover, if I would have known about the damage, I could have fixed the windshield myself through my insurance for much more cheaper price. I believe that I had a coverage for windshield repair. It would cost me $0.00. Now, I am in the limbo of Toyota 's policies with an obligation to pay $410.00 for something that I have not done. In addition, I had to call Toyota Financial Services 3-4 times to waive the charges for disposition and - lease payment. I had to spend 1-2 hours each time to explain the situation and promises Toyota Financial Services have given me. Luckily, - - - ID # - had a time to discuss my situation and listen to me. We were able to agree on waiving $ - - lease payment, and $350.00 disposition fee because they promised to do so if my spouse leases new vehicle. Despite spending hours over the phone with customer service representatives at Toyota Financial Services, no one was able to remove $410.00 charge for a chip on a windshield. I was planning to write to Toyota 's corporate office, but came across the CFPB. I do hope that this complaint will require some policy changes at Toyota Motor Sales Matured Lease Services. As I mentioned before, I do hope that the pre-inspection will become mandatory prior to lease returns unless consumer waives it in written form and states that they wo n't disagree with post lease return charges on damages. I also hope that Toyota will be able to reimburse charges to consumers who truly believe/d that they were billed wrongfully. Thank you,
