I took out a parent loan to assist in putting my son through college. This loan is ridiculous. The interest rate keeps going up, it is now 8 %. I originally borrowed $12000.00 at the end of the loan period on -/-/- I will have paid back $34000.00!! My monthly payment is - and I always pay $150.00, this is getting me nowhere. I am hoping there is some way for you to help me. At this rate I will be in debt with this company until after I retire or later if the interest rate continues to climb. Please help or give me advice as to what to do. Everyone I have contacted says they ca n't help because it is a parent loan and not a student loan. I thank you in advance for any help you can give me!
