Non-federal student loan Can't repay my loan Can't decrease my monthly payments Florida

I have - private student loans that were sold to collection agency and I was paying thinking I was paying on both - then a received a letter from an attorney 's office wanting to collect. I called the agency that I was paying and they said I am only paying - loan and the other loan was taken from their office and there is nothing they can do about it. What can I do - I tried calling the attorney 's office who is collecting on the loan but they never answer or call me back.
