I deposited a check for - -/-/-, the check was returned -/-/- therefore the - was debited from my account. On -/-/- - was debited from my account again, stating the check deposited on -/-/- was fraud. Hence, my account has been debited a total of -. I immediately called to file a dispute and was told I needed to go to the branch. On -/-/- I went to the branch and was advised I need to file a claim over the phone. I then filed a claim and was told to wait 7-10 days.. I waited. I called back and was told that claim was closed and another one was opened - I was told to wait 2 weeks.. I waited. Today -/-/- over a month later I called to check the claim and was advised by the claims department that because they only debited the account once and refunded the money to the person that wrote the check, if I wanted my - back that was debited on -/-/- I had to contact the branch because there was nothing they could do. I then called the - Fl office where I have my account, I spoke with a - who advised me I needed to come to the branch. I advised - I have since moved to - Oh and there are no branches here. I explained to her what I have been going through, she advised me she would forward to an escalations team to " look at it ''. By simply looking at my account it is plain to see Wells Fargo owes me -. I have been charged a total of - plus fees for a single check that was returned. WF got their money out of my account 4 days after the check was deposited, there was no reason to debit my account the second time.
