Charles Schwab has placed a hard inquiry on my - credit report when I applied for the checking account which is not a credit card or a loan product. I did not ask Charles Schwab to extend any credit to me in any way. Lots of banks make soft inquiries on credit reports for products that does not extend consumer any credit ; however a hard inquiry was not mentioned in the terms nor was it necessary especially I did not request any credit.
