Consumer contacted Santander Consumer USA and filed a complaint, immediately. Today, - -, -, a representative from the Santander 's president 's office contacted me to state that there is no record of anyone from the office verifying a payoff on my account - clearly, a bald-faced lie. Consumer witnessed a telephone call of the salesman that lasted 10 minutes, and the salesman revealed the information that was written down on a piece of paper. Where did this information come from? Santander is trying to " wash its hands '' of this privacy violation. Santander is claiming no such transaction took place, and it has completed its investigation. No action will take place.
