I received a voicemail saying that I was trying to be contacted and if the message was not returned, paperwork would be filed with the local county authorities. I returned the call within 30 min and was informed that I was being prosecuted for writing a bad check for a loan. Later in the conversation I was told the company I was speaking with was Coastal Collections. When I asked details, I was told that the date was in 2013, the amount $450.00, and it was for - -. When I asked for contact information for - -, who I have never heard of, I was told I could not have that information. I have never taken a loan for $450.00, written a bad check, or been notified of this being a collection against me. When I asked when I could expect documentation from -, Coastal Collections said it was up to -, but I could expect a subpeona soon and could fight this in court.
