- is attempting to collect $200.00 from me. They assert my service was disconnected and that this is a past due balance. I am a current - customer and have been for 7 consecutive years. - claims this balance is due from an older account number which was cancelled due to a change in service. In speaking with a service rep yesterday, they said they saw that last bill for that account which stated the balance should not be paid and that it would be transferred to my current account. They now claim they never transferred that balance. Well, my current account has no past due balance, and in fact is paid by auto pay through my credit card. I only heard of this three year old balance from delivery of a collection letter. I believe - is making up this charge from something they acknowledge occurred three years ago ( - 2013 ). In my call to them, they refused to remove the balance from their records.
