Someone stole my Identity in 2014. I filed a police report. Many creditors took action to fix the situations that arose. But - collector is pursuing me for a supposed apartment rental I did NOT rent in ANOTHER STATE, EVEN AFTER I SENT THEM THE STANDARD LETTER FROM THE FTC as the FTC advises. The dead give-away is that they always have my name wrong, as is the case with this collector ( Fair Collections & Outsourcing , Inc. - - - - - - -, MD. - - www.fco.com ). They keep telling me I need to complete their form which asks for a litany of my personal information that THEY ARE NOT PRIVILEGED TO. I even included a copy of my police report with the standard FTC letter. THEY REPORTED ME TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS!!! How is this allowed when they do NOT even have my name correct and I 've provided proof of identity theft?
