I had a car loan with Santander Consumer USA. I made a payment of $450.00 while in the process of trading that vehicle for a new vehicle. My last statement had a " estimate payoff '' of $18000.00, however that week, the dealership payoff amount was $18000.00 not including the amount I had just paid. I proceeded with the trade financed by - -. I was told by the dealership the difference from the payment I made would be refunded to me. Since then I contacted Santander USA after receiving a payoff statement. They could not tell anything because the account was closed.
