On Friday, - -, 2015 the bank branch manager at PNC, - claims she received a phone call requesting she fax our bank statments for the last three months to an institution. about a week later my nusband noticed a $15.00 charge to our account and inquired as to why. He was told by the bank manager that she had a call on - and that the " recognized my voice '' and faxed statements and charged us for photocopies. ISSUE : I never called the bank requesting this action. Neither - of us were told about this or asked to come in and sign a release for our information to be faxed. We took our phone records at a later date to prove we did not do this. This did not matter to her. We went to the police department but they can not do anything. My husband was advised to leave this bank as our information could be anywhere and compromised. It is unlawful to fax bank accounts without the written permission/release by the account holder. There is no written release by me or my husband. We have since removed all the assests possible from PNC BANK in -, NC and opened new accounts in another bank in town. We feel we were treated poorly by negligence on the part of the bank branch manager who took the bogus phone call and faxed our information without our knowledge. We need PNC to admit wrongdoing and return our money charged for photocopies.
