Non-federal student loan Can't repay my loan Can't decrease my monthly payments Tennessee

I am an alumnus of - University as of -/-/-. During my collegiate career, I struck hardship and had to result to borrowing from private loan lenders to pay for my education. Now, less than a year after graduation, I am in the repayment process. The bulk of my private student loans come from Navient and - -. Navient has been unable to assist my cosigner and myself in being placed on an affordable repayment plan. With a monthly payment of $830.00 from Navient alone we are unable to fulfill the payments. I recently ( -/-/- ) spoke with several Navient representatives, including management, to lower my monthly payment with no positive outcome. I understand that federal student loans have many more repayment options than private lenders ; however, there needs to be some cooperation in the repayment process. It 's extremely hard to begin or elevate a career when you are in so much debt that it is crippling to your ability to grow financially.
