Medical Disclosure verification of debt Not given enough info to verify debt Ohio
Last year at my work, I received a call that said I had a debt and action would be taken against me if I did not pay it. The person even said " well do n't you have a - that you can borrow from to pay this '' They call me at work so I got really nervous and made some payment arrangements. Here recently money has been tight so I call Global Credit and collections to have the amount of the payment adjusted and I was told when I called that they no longer have an account for me in there offices, so I put a stop payment on the check because they said I had no account there. Then I recently received a call from - - saying she is with Global and she sees that I put a stop payment on the check so I explained that I had called and was told that I did not have an account with them at this point I asked them to provide me with the amount of the original debt and copies of every payment they have taken out of my account the woman replied " well that makes perfect sense and hung up on me. I feel like this company is a scam and I am not giving them another Penny of my money. I also found out that - also wrote off my balance. I do not feel I should have to pay a balance that was written off.
