I have worked with transunion several times and had the same information removed. I pay my bills on time and there were no late payments. all inquiries were for the same purpose ( but they refused to count them as a single record. Ihave no negative marks on my report and my oldest account on tu WAS from 1997 which was removed recently so it looks as if my credit history is shorter than it actually is. when I apply for a loan tu will intentionally lower my score. This has gone on for years and when I call in to dispute items on my report I am told they only have to follow their rules. this is not my first complaint to be filed with you. I recently asked tu to remove late payment information they claim was reported to them by - - /-, an inaccuracy they reinstated only after I started looking into mortgage loans. I would like to have all inaccurate information removed from both my credit report and my credit file. I would like some protection against TU reinstating this information again. I would like to have a clearly defined timeline that states what is considered to be a new account for example ( 0-12 months ) and what is considered to be a short credit history for example ( 1-10 years ) short ( 10-15 years ) intermediate ) and so on. I would also like outcomes listed of any credit inquiry so it shows if an offer was made and if not why not. I would like it to be a requirement for anyone who pulls a credit report to furnish a copy of the report they pulled including the report number to the consumer and not tell them they ca n't do n't or wo n't because it is not their policy. I would also like fines imposed if a consumer can prove the any information that was previously removed has been reinstated.
