Complaint against Suntrust Bank. Suntrust Bank did not file the deed to take possession of property - - - -, -, GA - - for 18 months after it was surrended to them via bankruptcy. Filing the foreclosure deed 18 months later has denied me the ability to refinance into a more favorable mortgage on my home. Suntrust chose NOT to file the deed to AVOID THE COSTS associated with ownership of the property. While I reorganized my life and put myself on a firm foundation, I am being penalized by Suntrust not following through on the court order to take possession of the property and file the deed in their name. Please look into this and advise if there is an avenue to remedy this situation. FHA in its loan approval guidelines goes off the deed transfer date and not the date of the bakruptcy discharge.
