JPMorgan Chase Mortgage Complaint

JPMorgan Chase Mortgage department,

When speaking to my Chase rep who is supposed to be helping me submit a modification option with paperwork she told my wife and I to not pay anymore on the mortgage or send in any payments because Chase will not accept it. She said that it could take up to 45 days to get our modification reviewed and approved. She told us to just save our money and save as much as we can. In late fees we were behind by an amount we could pay right then but because it was not including the attorney fees for Chase she said it was closer -. This just does not sound like it is right and I have never heard of not trying to pay when you have something to pay towards your debt.
