In -/-/- I rented a car from - - at - -. I returned the car in good condition and received a receipt. Several weeks later I received a letter from - claiming that the car had been damaged while in my possession, without providing any details or supporting evidence. I sent a response letter to the remittance address listed on the letter disputing the claim and requesting evidence of damage and repair costs. I received no response or supporting documentation from - in response to my written dispute and request, until I received another bill from Viking Client Services, a collection agency. I am responding to this letter with another written dispute and request for documentation. I am alerting your agency to this because I have found numerous complaints from other consumers online that suggest that this is a consistent pattern of consumer fraud by -.
