- -, 2015 I went online to E-PERIAN and thought I was taking advantage of a Great $1.00 DEAL to see my Credit Score? While that deal was visible in a LARGE font, BURIED somewhere on that page in tiny print apparently was some nonsense about a subscription and a $21.00 recurring monthly billing charge? Neither I nor I 'd imagine tens of thousands of other consumers are EVER aware of this subscription service and monthly credit card charge UNTIL it 's too late and they are stuck on automatic billing? To be VERY Clear, I did not seek nor intend ANYTHING other than a $1.00 charge to my credit card for seeing my credit score on that day, I had NO IDEA of any additional financial commitment on my part. And ANY company doing business like this needs to be -, this is an outright intended and deceptive, despicable business practice essentially Tricking '' consumers into a monthly charge for a service they were n't aware of NOR Ever INTENDED to activate? I FINALLY Canceled the UNKNOWN subscription service, but of course they refuse to credit the $21.00 service charge. I wonder how much money they 've 'snookered ' from others, I 'd bet its MORE THAN ENOUGH to Pay a HEAVY Fine to the CFPB! This is a SCAM, and made even worse given this just - of - ( - ) MAJOR Consumer Reporting Agencies?? I 'd note these Credit Reporting Agencies still have n't suffered any COSTS, FINES or PAIN for their extensive involvement in the Housing Collapse and Financial Crisis? Please help me get my $21.00 credited back and PLEASE make them add something BIG & BOLD, something that helps other HONEST CONSUMERS avoid this scam. Thank YOU!
