I recently received a statement on a time-barred '' debt with a thank you '' note on a payment in the amount of $88.00 dated - -, 2015 that I never authorized. As a matter of fact, I have never talked to anybody in this company. I believe that this payment is fraudulent in an attempt to restart the statute of limitation 's clock and possibly sue me for the amount they claim I owe. This company called Midland Credit Management is well known for their deceptive collection practices.
