In the past 10 years I have requested wire transfers from - - and the - - - - - and the amount received by - - ( - ) has always been the amount of the Transfer requested. I researched Bank of America 's Int'l Wire Transfer fees and determined the fee was $45.00. When I initiated the wire with BoA, I was advised that there may be '' an Other Fee of $25.00, in addition to the $45.00 fee. Based on my previous experience I felt this fee would not be charged, but $25.00 was deducted from the amount transferred. I tried discussing this fee with BoA, but they could not tell me who received this fee or who actually requested it to be charged. In effect the fee is $70.00 rather than $45.00 as they advise on their web site.
