JPMorgan Chase Bank Account Or Service Complaint

Other bank product/service Deposits and withdrawals

JPMorgan Chase Bank account or service department,

Other bank product/service Deposits and withdrawals New York

My husband and I have a number of accounts with JP Morgan/Chase and I pay most of our bills using online account services with various merchants. I am very cognizant about due dates for our bills and when my paychecks get deposited ( every Thursday - and when my husband 's pension check and social security check gets deposited. During the past year, my previous job was outsourced and I was out of work for 5 months and when I got offered my next job I was forced to take a $45000.00 pay cut. I am a senior and am - years old. Due to the reduction in our income, it is next to impossible to keep a cushion '' in our bank account. On a number of occasions, due to the way that Chase Bank

matter online and have found out that this is a problem for many low-income families who can not afford to keep extra funds in their accounts and who suffer disproportionately from these practices that are common among large banks. Our branch manager has lectured me that he will refund the fee this one time '' but the problem is far greater and should be addressed by government regulations. I do not want to have overdraft protection because it costs more money. There would be no problem if Chase processed direct deposits first before deducting any online payments. I am very responsible and balance my checkbook every morning when I go on my computer at work. However, every now and then some kind of surprise debit occurs and voila, I get hit with another $34.00 fee because Chase did not process the deposits first. I am imploring your agency to please address this problem with the large banks. I work hard but I have been a victim of corporate downsizing. I am facing retirement and trying to pay down bills. I am very discouraged about my financial future. I read about these practices in - and - when I did a google search. I was glad to see that it was a larger problem that government could address, as opposed to my own negligence as was implied by Chase Bank 's managers. Thank you for your help.
