I have reviewed my credit file and have been turn down for credit due to Jefferson Capital listing me as still having active revolving line of credit with them. This item does show as - balance however it does show as an active line of credit which is incorrect. I was told by - Representative at the company on -/-/- that a request to delete my information was placed to all - credit reports. I still see this item listed and have been turned down for credit due to this situation. I spoke with - from consumer relations department at Jefferson Capital who researched and stated that this item should have been deleted -/-/- and stated that it was deleted however it still showed listed on my credit report. I would like full resolution on this matter I am a single mother working very hard to clean up my credit. I have paid - of dollars to do so by filing chapter - and have been discharged and I am very confused as to why this is still showing on my credit file and has prevented me from obtaining certain credit needed for my family. I have learned that this credit stared from - credit card and was given to Jefferson Capital to act as their collection agency. When - gave my information over to Jefferson Capital I was in an active chapter - case. So this was incorrect reporting from the start. Because I lacked maturity and did not have the education and tools I have now I was not able to confront this situation. I would like your assistance with resolving this matter please.
