I am asking - for validation of debt for a collection they say I owe for an apartment complex. I have sent them 3 letters asking for validation. The - letter said their client verified the name and address listed on the account was correct. I did n't ask for that, I asked for legal validation. In the - letter I received, they sent a statement with my name but not my signature from a lease agreement, nothing showing my DOB or SSN. It had an apartment complex manager 's signature, not mine. That is not valid proof. The third letter flat out refused to send me anything stating they already sent proof which they did not. The - major credit reporting agencies keep sending me reports back saying they verified the account and belongs to me. I requested in my last correspondence with them what their method of verification was on this account when I am not getting any legal verification.
