I have a USAA checking account. I recently made some bill payments which caused my account to be overdrawn but the overdraft should have been covered by my linked USAA credit card. At the time the payments were presented, there was a $22000.00 CREDIT balance in my credit card account, i.e., USAA owed ME $22000.00 in addition to the $9000.00 credit limit available on the credit card account. Despite this, - payments were returned and I was charged returned payment fees totaling over $100.00 by both USAA and the recipient of the payments.
