Medical False statements or representation Attempted to collect wrong amount California
I have been speaking with representatives over a course of a couple of years. Most recently, I decided to call and speak with someone about getting these accounts taken care of. There was a delay because there was some accounts that they had that needed to be retracted/deleted by the original creditor. I ended up speaking with someone that gave me a total of a certain dollar amount over $700.00 to pay in order to settle the account for deletion. She gave me this option with either removing all interest or giving me a 25 % discount, which equated to almost the same total. She said this would both resolve the account and result in deletion from my credit report. Between that conversation and the one that I had today, I called and attempted to settle for less ( understanding there might not be a deletion ) and was told they could n't accept only that. So I told them I would continue to get the rest of the total that was originally requested from me because I wanted the deletion. I finally got all of the money together and called back only to be told by someone else that paying this amount would not result in deletion, only showing account as paid. This does not make sense to me that a company is able to be so disorganized, that different reps are able to give different rules. Now I am being told that there 's no way to get rid of all interest or there can be no deletion.
