A message was left on my voicemail stating that The message was intended for - - and was from - and that I needed a statement either from me or an attorney returned to them. They left a Telephone number - - File # -. I returned the call to find out what was this in reference to and - -, - advisor stated that he represent the fraud dept. and that supposedly I took out a cash advance - years ago in - - Fl. and the bank was closed or frozen and that now they are trying to collect. The amount due was $410.00 but it has accrued penalty and interest and now the amt. is $1800.00. But if I provide a credit card today for the amt. for the $410.00 that it would stop them from going to court and would go for the $1800.00. They also stated that I had used my brother, - - and - - as references. I know for a fact that it is a tactic and wrong. They expect for me to call tomorrow and provide them with a - credit card. His direct # is - - ext. -. File -.
