A debt collection agency has placed a negative trade line on my credit report without providing the validation of debt requested and a reasonable opportunity to investigate the putative debt. This is important because ( - ) I previously owed money to the original creditor that was handled by Focused Recovery that was discharged in a Chapter - bankruptcy and ( - ) I may have been a victim of identity theft. A full legal analysis and memorandum of facts necessary to adjudicate my claim are attached.
