U.S. Bancorp Credit Card Complaint

Closing/Cancelling account

U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,

Closing/Cancelling account Arizona

I was informed by letter by - VISA that the company would be switching to mastercard. This switch would take place beginning in - and the old VISA cards would remain active for 30 days after receiving the new mastercards or until - 2015. However the company canceled my Visa card before the new mastercard arrived. This caused my automatic payments to be declined causing me additional fees. This also occurred while I was in a different city, effectively stranding me without my only credit card. I contacted the customer help number on the card and was informed that after an account has been canceled there was nothing that they could do. The representative did offer me $50.00 for my inconvenience and offer to rush ship the card, but that did not help that my auto payments have been declined and I had the card canceled while I was in a different city.
