Your options do not provide the option in this instance. Greentree is improperly reporting my debt to the credit bureaus. I have disputed the date of last activity on the account and they continue to report it. In the attached letter they accuse me of trying to change their reporting to the bureaus. They go on to state that they make every attempt to ensure the information reported to the bureaus is accurate and correct. But just looking at the trade line ( attached ) you can see that they reported the item in - of 2014 but list the Date of Last Activity as - of 2014. It is impossible for Greentree to list payment activity for the month FOLLOWING the report date. If anyone is trying to manipulate dates, it is Greentree. By continually advancing the date of last activity, they are pushing the obsolescence date forward to keep this debt on my credit report indefinitely. The Fair Credit Reporting Act.
