In -/-/- or -/-/- I was carrying a $47.00 credit on my Chase Visa. I think it was the balance of a credit from a return I made earlier in the year. Anyway, Chase says they sent me a check for the $47.00 around that time. I never asked for it, I never received it, it was never deposited. Since it was n't deposited Chase put a stop on the check on -/-/- and continued to show my $47.00 on its books. Sometime in -/-/- I made a $6.00 purchase with my Chase Visa. A Chase rep tells me due to billing issues ( I assume with the vendor, not Chase ) the charge ended up on my bill due -. At this point, Chase owed me $47.00 and I owed Chase $6.00 so Chase owed me $40.00. But then I get a letter from Chase, dated -/-/-, saying it closed my account. The letter says my account was delinquent and as a


to send me a new check for $47.00 and reopen the account. I asked that they credit the $47.00 to my account, use it to pay the $6.00 and reinstate my account. They offer to reopen the account and send me another check again. I work my way up the chain to supervisor -. According to - when Chase cancelled the check, the finds went into Limbo ''. Since Chase had my funds at all times, I asked him to correct the account to show the credit on -/-/-, timely payment of the $6.00, reinstate the account showing it should n't have been closed and remove any negative credit information Chase reported. He repeated the offer to send me a new check for $47.00 and reopen the account, but said Chase would not credit the $47.00 to the account, would n't use it to timely pay the $6.00 charge and would n't remove/revoke this from my credit report.
