I have had several cards in good standing with Chase and recently had my credit limits cut by 70 %. I understand that Chase must manage its risks in extending credit and may reduce credit accordingly ; however, a drastic decline of credit to just above the outstanding balance creates a hardship to consumers as it directly impacts my credit score as my percentage of credit used goes from 30 % to 100 %. In order to object to the bank 's decision, I had to have my credit pulled again negatively impacting my credit score.
